Andrews Rest Area
A little jewel, more like a small park than just a rest stop.
Andrews is located in the western corner of the state of North Carolina. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Andrews offers a peaceful place to relax while enjoying some of the most spectacular scenery year round. People say that Andrews is only two hours from anywhere. Conveniently it’s less than 150 miles from Chattanooga, TN, Atlanta, GA, Knoxville, TN and Asheville, NC.
Most of the rest area is on small island which is accessed via two small bridges. The standard restroom building is always clean and well lit and has a small observation deck overlooking the stream. There are a lot of native flowers plus some nursery types.
Picnic tables set in always manicured lush lawn areas on the island complete this peaceful little park. Very easy on the eye, serene, and quiet. Good place to take a break and relax a bit. If you haven't stopped here, you have missed a good one.
